Effective 13 October 2026
Terms of service
The agreement between you and ADELOS, LLC. It is written to be read, so the parts that cost you money are in plain words and near the top.
1. Who you are dealing with
Lantern Hour is a brand of ADELOS, LLC, a limited liability company organized in Florida, United States. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean ADELOS, LLC, and "you" means the person placing an order or using lanternhour.adelos.ai.
Reach a person at hello@lanternhour.adelos.ai. We read email Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern, and reply within one business day. There is no phone queue, which also means there is no phone number we can hide a cancellation behind.
2. What you are buying
These terms cover a monthly subscription for the Lantern Hour coffee club, which delivers two 12 ounce bags of roasted coffee each month, and an optional non-renewing three-month gift. Products are sold for personal, household use in the United States only. We do not currently ship to addresses outside the fifty US states and the District of Columbia, and checkout will not accept one.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract to order. The person named on the payment card must be the person placing the order.
3. Price, billing and renewal
Every subscription plan renews automatically, every month, at the price shown below, until you cancel it. We tell you the price and the interval next to the pay button before you pay, Stripe asks you to accept these terms with a box you tick yourself, and your confirmation email restates all of it.
- Coffee club, monthly
- $38.00

How the charges work
- Your first charge happens when you complete checkout. Each later charge happens on the same day of the month, until you cancel.
- Prices include US shipping. Sales tax, where it applies, is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay.
- The three-month gift is a single charge of $114. It is not a subscription: three deliveries happen and then it ends. No card is stored for the recipient and the recipient is never billed.
- If we ever change the price of an active subscription we will email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect, and the email will tell you how to cancel before it does.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries it a small number of times over the following days. If it keeps failing we cancel the subscription rather than let a balance accumulate.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel online, at any time, in two clicks, and it is never harder than signing up was.
Every receipt we send contains a link to the Stripe customer portal for your subscription. Open it and press cancel. The cancellation takes effect immediately and you are not charged again. The same portal lets you skip a single delivery, change your payment card, update your shipping address, change between whole bean and ground, and download past invoices.
If you would rather a person did it, reply CANCEL to any email from us and we will cancel the subscription on the same business day and write back to confirm. We will not ask you to call anyone, complete a survey, decline a retention offer, or meet a weekly cut-off time.
Cancelling stops future charges. It does not refund a charge that has already happened — for that, see the refunds page, which is generous on purpose.
5. Delivery
- Orders are passed to our fulfilment partner and dispatched within three business days of a successful charge.
- Carrier transit is typically two to five business days within the contiguous United States, and longer to Alaska and Hawaii.
- Risk of loss passes to you on delivery, not on dispatch. If a carrier loses or destroys your parcel, tell us and we will replace it or refund it — that is our problem to solve, not yours.
- If an address is wrong and the parcel comes back to us, we will reship it once at no charge once you give us the corrected address.
6. About the product
Lantern Hour sells roasted coffee, which is a food. We make no health claims about it of any kind, and we are not going to start: coffee is a pleasant drink, not a supplement.
Coffee is roasted and packed by our fulfilment partner, who is responsible for food labelling, allergen information and any state-level warnings that apply to roasted coffee. The information on the bag is the authority. If a bag's label and this website ever disagree, trust the bag and tell us so we can fix the site.
Origins and lots rotate with the harvest. The profiles described on our site are the shape we select to, not a guarantee of a specific named lot in a specific month.
7. Your account and your conduct
We do not ask you to create an account. Checkout and subscription management both run on Stripe, and the link in your receipt is how you get back in. Keep your receipts; anyone with that link can manage the subscription.
Please do not try to break the site, scrape it at volume, resell our products as if they were yours, or use our name or wordmarks in a way that suggests we endorse something we do not. We may refuse or cancel an order, and refund it, if we reasonably believe it is fraudulent or intended for resale.
8. Our content
The text, illustrations, layout and code on lanternhour.adelos.ai are ours and are protected by copyright. The illustrations on this site were drawn for it; there is no stock or third-party imagery anywhere on it. You may link to any page. Please do not republish the copy or artwork without asking first — ask and we will usually say yes.
9. Limits on what we owe you
We give you the product as described and we stand behind it through the refund policy. Beyond that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with an order is limited to the amount you paid us for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income.
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law that cannot be limited, including the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that we cannot resolve by email will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we each consent to that venue.
We would much rather sort it out by email. Write to hello@lanternhour.adelos.ai and describe what went wrong; we read every one of those.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects an active subscription — price, billing interval, cancellation method, or refund rights — we will email every active subscriber at least 14 days before it takes effect and say plainly what changed. Continuing a subscription after that date means you accept the updated terms; cancelling before it means you do not, and costs you nothing.
The date at the top of this page is the date of the version you are reading.
